There will always be shortcuts for everything, and from my experience... they don't always work. So what was accomplished? Not much. Looking for the easy way out usually ends up meaning more work.
Can you imagine someone, trying to get back on shape, picking up a 50 lb. weight and trying to lift it over their head 20 times? They heard that it's a shortcut to defining their muscles. A shortcut maybe to the Emergency Room after they've ripped their muscles. They knew it would take time, a lot of time and training before they could comfortably move on to such a weight, but no - no time - have to have it now.
What other areas of life do you think it's unwise to take a shortcut?
Let's be smart about what we are trying to accomplish, Yeremiah. Look at the shortcut and ask yourself, does this make sense? Will this allow me to get to my goal or will the shortcut be one that causes me to start all over if it doesn't deliver the results I desire.
